1. Prepare your assets
- Collect video clips, photos, and music files.

- Trim or correct footage beforehand if needed (simple edits can be done in the app).
2. Start a new project
- Open Movie DVD Maker and choose “Create New Project” or “New DVD.”
- Select output type: DVD-Video (NTSC or PAL) or AVCHD/Blu-ray if required.
- Choose disc capacity (DVD-5/DVD-9) — larger capacity for longer video or higher quality.
3. Import media
- Click “Add Files” or drag-and-drop videos/photos into the media bin.
- Arrange items in the desired playback order by dragging thumbnails.
4. Edit clips and audio
- Use built-in tools to:
- Trim or split clips.
- Adjust brightness/contrast and apply simple filters.
- Add transitions between clips (choose consistent styles).
- Set background music and adjust audio fade-in/out and volume levels.
- For photo slideshows, set display duration per image and choose transition effects.
5. Create chapters
- Add chapter markers at logical points (scene changes or every 3–5 minutes) so viewers can skip easily.
- Rename chapter titles where helpful (e.g., “Opening,” “Highlights,” “Credits”).
6. Design a professional DVD menu
- Open the Menu Editor and pick a template that matches the DVD’s tone (formal, family, event).
- Customize:
- Background: static image, motion background, or video loop.
- Title text, font, and color.
- Button layout and labels (Play, Scenes/Chapters, Extras).
